Walking on Sunshine
Like much of the country, we've been experiencing unseasonably warm temperatures over the past week, and we haven't let the sunshine and warmth go to waste. We've spent a lot of time outside just soaking it in. Yesterday after almost three hours outside we finally came in and within a half hour later Jaden and Sienna were begging to go back out again!
This spring and summer all three of our girls will be able to actually PLAY outside. Bristol is anxious to join in the fun of running and riding around the driveway and of rolling around in the grass. Over the weekend Scott had the idea of taking her walker toy outside to practice and as you'll see in the following photos, Bristol has enjoyed tremendously walking all around our driveway!
This photo is completely out of focus, but I still love how my girls are looking at one another. I can't get over how much these girls love one another. Bristol looks up to her big sisters so much, and they are incredibly supportive and nurturing of her.
Bristol's walker is supposed to be a mail delivery cart, so she enjoys passing out the mail:
Compared to our mailwoman, she actually does a superb job! (If you've ever heard anything about our mailwoman, then you know that she leaves packages on top of our mailbox on rainy days--she's apparently afraid the rain will make her melt if she brings the package to our door, and she loves to prop our mail slot on the box open with a thick magazine so that any and all precipitation soaks our mail. Not sure what her "beef" is so to speak, but I guess she's just a miserable lady who has to try to make us miserable through her antics.)
Tonight we even guided Bristol down the walkway in front of our house. She felt like such a big girl walking towards her Daddy and Jaden!
After she pushed the mail cart into Daddy's car I had Bristol try out this little ride-on toy. She wasn't sure what to do, but I'm guessing she'll figure it out quickly!
Once she decided she was done sitting there she climbed right off as if she'd done it a million times. Bristol has all of the balance and stability to walk, so we'll see when she decides to finally take off on her own! We're all thankful for these sunny, warm days, and especially Bristol since she can practice her walking while feeling like one of the big kids playing outside!
